I was wondering how any of you guys or your kids (if you’re a parent) got invited to the National Student Leadership Conference? It seems like an amazing program and I’m interested in it thought it costs a lot of money (which I can afford). I’m specifically interested in their journalism program. I want to get INVITED to it, not apply for it. I know it sounds weird, but I’d be proud of myself if I could get invited for their program. My friend got in (for their science program) but she didn’t have any leadership roles or outstanding grades. She showed me her “invitation” and it seemed legit.
Just apply its fine. I didn’t receive an invitation but if you are qualified it doesn’t really matter
I was invited last year for Medicine and Health Care program which I went last summer.
I think majority of people who gets invited gets invited via college board based on their AP and SAT scores. Honestly I did not know this program existed until I was invited and looking at my case, the only way I could receive an invitation is through College Board (My school is really small like 100 students per class small)
Your parent can also go onto their website and nominate, if that’s okay with you. GC’s are so busy this time of year, but if you want to ask them to nominate, I’m sure they will.
no big deal - you can apply bit its not as prestigious as you might think
