i dont understand this, i get that the A’s give you 5 instead of 4 in honors, but how do you get over 5.0, and how high can you get?

It depends on the school, but I think that if a school counts A’s in honors as 5.0 and A’s in AP as 6.0, then you’re able to get over 5.0. As for how high you can get, it depends on how many AP’s your school offers or how many you can take, but I’ve heard of 5.2’s and even close to 5.3.

oh, im not sure how my school does it, i know some people have 5.2’s, very very very few people, but i didnt get how you got this

At my school, it’s not possible to get a 5.0 or above.

at my school, for sophs and above, it’s common to see someone who’s academically in the top 20~30% to have 5.4 and above…due to total grade inflation, of course…

It’s not possible at my school.

At my school, 5.3 = A+ in an H/AP class.

It depends on the school system.

In S. C., the grading scale goes from 0 to 4.87. So with honors, a student can actually get a 5.87.

A 5.87? Wow.

if you get all A+'s in all APs, it’s theoretically possible to get 6.33 at my school but I’ve never heard of anyone getting it.

the highest at mine is 4.0 ^_^

I think you can get above 5.0 at my school if you’re in all Honors/AP and have a study hall/pass-fail. Can’t remember for sure.
