How Do You Guys Approach Lengthy Multiple Choice questions?

Hey, I was taking a Bio practice test and I had forgotten how long some of the questions are. For example, it seems a lot of heredity questions give a scenario of some organisms procreating and then there are 2-3 questions that follow. I think with the 3 question situations time isn’t a big problem, but sometimes I’m forced to read a pretty lengthy paragraph just to answer 2 questions. We technically have 48 seconds to answer each question, so is there any trick to approaching them?

Are there situations when you could skim the question, or would that be too risky? I’m kind of afraid to do that but I’m concerned that there wont be enough super short questions to make up for all of the long ones.

And tips would be appreciated!
