April Fools’ Day? No, I mean the “college decisions day”!

My friends and I were having a discussion about April 1st, which happen to be only 29 days apart from today (March 1st). Most of us are going to receive at least 6 college decisions through either mail or email on that day. We just worried about how to handle our emotions if all of them are rejections.

Here are the suggestions that we’ve talked about:

(1) Go to a friend’s house and check the decisions at one place. If get accepted, you can cheer; if not, at least you have friends.

(2) Tell the parents to check those for you. They won’t say anything if you get rejected.

(3) We have a week of spring break, we can just check one per day.

(4) Try to check the decisions in the morning, so you can do whatever as soon as possible to save your chance!

(5) Prepare yourself right now.

(6) Don’t go on Facebook only if you get rejections. Many status will be like “YES!!! Whatever University Class of 2016!” That will just make you sadder. That also applies to Twitter.

(7) Don’t go on CC, especially the stats pages. Again, only if you are rejected.

(8) Make sure it’s not one of those April Fools thing. Sometimes parents and friends can be mean.

So, how do you handle April 1st? All practical and humorous suggestions are welcomed!
