I know that you can look it up on websites but how do you know exactly what score you need to get? If the average is 30, what happens if you get a composite score of 28? Would you need to take it again?
Can someone help me figure out what score I need to get?
I’m interested in most of the uc’s (in state) , usc,usf and usd.
My gpa is 3.89 ( I got a c in ap chem, but will retake it and that could bring my gpa up to 3.9) I’m taking the hardest classes offered at my school.
Ethnicity : south american
ECs: guitar, bass, varsity tennis, fluent in spanis. I’m teaching my self german ( I don’t know if that counts)
-Mun
-Interact
-Tutored esl kids
I think I want to major in marine biology or maybe psychology .
I’m really afraid of taking the act. I keep getting 24 and 25 on practice tests. I think I will take it in april. Should I take it or wait till june?

go to About.com and search up UC ACT scores, they have all of them. Correct me if I am wrong, but retaking AP chem that you got a C in will NOT change your GPA. You will still have a C in AP chem even if you retake it and recieve an A. Only if you failed it, the course will be written over.

I asked my counselor and he said that if I retake it the c will still appear on my transcript but it won’t count when they calculate my gpa.

i usually like to have a good 2 pt. cushion over the average for example i want to go to Cal Poly. their average is 29. i got a 31 and i am also going to apply early decision. so my chances at acceptance are pretty good.

^ the average act at cal poly is 26…i want to go their too. im only a junior.
