How do you meet senator, congressman or Vice President in person?

This question applies to the people who actually met one of those three positions. How did you meet them? WRote a letter? Called the office? Connections? Any tips for me? Thanks

Many Congressmen have a public meeting in their district fairly frequently. Ours does it 6 times a year in various places throughout the district. Check the web page and then go. Ours is available for questions and then when its over he sticks around for a few minutes and meets with whomever stuck around to talk to him. Very personable and low key. I don’t know if all have them but our Congressman has mentioned that most have them. Ours calls it a Town Hall Meeting and I have gotten the impression that others call it that as well. I have not met either the VP or our Senators so can’t answer that one.

There is no need for you meet with your MOC. Nominations are and should be non-political. Your MOC most likely has a Nominations manager who is in a local office and is willing to answer your questions.
Your nomination will be won by the strength of your application, not your ability to go out of your way to suck up to your congressman/senator.
Spend your time doing well in school, participating in varisty athletics and gaining leadership experience.
