How do you prepare for AP Lit?

<p>What do you guys suggest? I have a very poor instruction in my AP class and I would appreciate any guidance or books that would prove helpful.</p>

<p>Also, is anyone familiar with A Poetry Handbook by Mary Oliver? </p>

<p>I would also like to know your opinions about The Norton Anthology of English Literature if anyone is familar with it. From what I know, it is often used in college literature courses.</p>

<p>We use the Bedford for English lit, although I know UT-Austin uses Norton in their Plan II lit classes. Strunk and White is good for the essays. The most important thing to do is improve your close reading skills and be familiar with literary device terms (caesura, apostrophe, etc).</p>
