I’m taking AP US Govt and AP World in less than a month. i got PR book for both of them and i am starting to study now (during spring break). do you just read the prep books or what?

I get a textbook and I lock myself in my room for hours. It’s really the best method.

I make this top-secret drink, which gives me mutant-CollegeBoard superabilities.

It’s similar to “Stephen Colbert’s Formula 401,” but with a little more zing, and a pinch more zang!

if nyjunior’s secret drink doesnt work for you, just read the prep book and take/review as many practice tests as possible

I lock myself in my room for hours.

Haha! azsxdc has no life!!!

Stephen Colbert’s sperm? That’s one way.

I take the testprep books to school with me and read them during my boring classes. I also make outlines for the history ones from whatever textbook I’m reading.

My history book for US History is for AP classes, so there’s also a book that “compliments” it, so to speak, and reviews the important points in each chapter and what’s likely to surface on the AP test. Needless to say–I haven’t exactly READ any part of it, seeing as I forgot that I bought it until a few weeks ago.

I just read the books once and then go through the glossary to see if I know everything…

No, charmelody, I said it is SIMILAR to Stephen Colbert’s sperm, only better, and especially designed for CollegeBoard exams. Anyhow, Stephen Colbert is a mortal, a simple little mortal, like the rest of y’all (y’all like my Texan?), he can’t get the job done.

I sit down with the review books, coordinate their information with the information from the textbook, and memorize for a few hours (in different subjects), doing study questions and reviewing the info in my head multiple times.

I just walk into the exam room without studying, hoping to get a 4.

it depends on what ap test u are studying for.

for apush, i just read amsco and got a 5

for ap art history, i just skimmed the textbooks and got a 5

for stats, i did absolutely nothing and got a 3

for pscyh, i prayed earnestly and fasted and got a 5.

for euro…man that was such a long time ago…i think i just read the textbook (which was short) and got a 3.

I agree with the recommendation to read through the glossary and know all the terms. I like to start studying around now (reading review books or textbooks if they are short, like gov) but put off taking sample tests until closer to test time. The samples serve as mini-reviews in themselves.

review books (cliffs for bio, and kaplans for u.s.) take several practice tests and honestly stay in a positive state of mind.
