I paid my deposit for a university since it was due last month but I recently got accepted to my top choice. Who should I contact to withdraw my place?
Hey, congrats! Same thing happened to me and I wasn’t sure what to do either, so I just emailed the admissions office explaining that I would no longer be attending. Three days later I haven’t received a response, so I’ll probably follow up, but I figure sending an email has to be enough.
Email your admissions counselor, if you have one, it should say their name and contact info maybe on the college website under the reading area.
If not, you can always call the admissions office and they’ll take you through the process.
Just contact admissions, but you won’t get deposit back. You may also (in fact you SHOULD) be able to withdraw a SIR online. So check your portal first.
