How do you...

How does everyone on here keep themselves from getting too angry and saying idiotic things? I am particularly speaking in the context of family/parents…

What has been helping me a lot is looking at the humor of the situation. After all, when you’re laughing too hard, it’s rather difficult to be angry. :D

This was a random, “in-the-moment” post…
:D

Everything’s fine now, but I’ll keep all the suggestions in mind the next time something like this happens (which will be soon, I’m pretty sure…).

Well, usually my parents misunderstand me, so I try to assume their point. After I get that, my anger is gone lol. And if I do get angry at them, I quickly feel guilty (unless the situation is really big), and I try to fix the relationship before it goes any farther. Another good thing is to just leave the scene. Try to hold your anger. Then with time, your anger is gone. Again, fix the relationship. lol.

The exact same issue that I have!!! Yay! Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Usually I do end up doing the exact same thing. I have to apologize a lot… :D
