Me and my boyfriend are planning to live together, but he’s a transfer right now, and i was told i should start looking for apartments now. He would need a proof of income, (hes on fin aid, not as much as UCSB’s fin aid tho), should he just get a co-signer with lots of money or should we just look for an apartment when he gets accepted? I don’t want it to be too late…

I think you should wait until he gets accepted, unless you are just sitting on a pile of cash. You are most likely going to have to pay a hefy deposit, and I don’t think it’s worth the money only to find out later he may not have gotten accepted. There are plenty of apartments in later throughout the year (of course they aren’t going to be a block from the beach). Check out garden court (they have month to month rent) and capr apts:)
