How Does Adcom work?

How does the Stanford admissions process work? Does a regional officer decide which applications move on to a final committee?

Does it matter?

hahaha yeah… i figure that your best bet is to just pray and hope that the grumpy adcom that just spilled coffee on his pants isn’t about to read your application.

I honestly don’t know much, but your regional officer is the first to view your application. From what my regional officer said, she was “the one fighting for me.” I guess she presents it to the main committee, and they make the ultimate decision.

This is what I heard-----------> what Affe said.

a regional officer will review applications. some are automatically rejected. those applicants who your regional officer either wants to be admitted or has questions about go to the committee. the committee discusses and has to approve/deny these apps
