How does affect a F grade?

-I got a F grade in the first semester. Therefore, in the second semester, I re-took the class which I had got the F and got a A.

Question.

-I would like to transfer to another college later. Is there any dis-advantage because of a F grade on my college history?

Thanks for sharing your time to read my message.

where are you trying to transfer to?

If you’re not applying to a prestigious college, you’ll be fine… If you are, there better be a GOOD explanation

yea a realllllllly good explanation.

Thank you so much, guys. :D

This is the explanation.

Actually, the English is not my native tongue, and I have been in the U.S. since three months before the college starts.

Unfortunately, in the first semester, I wasn’t familier with specific words of math and a calculator. ( I had never used a calculator in the class before.)

Therefore, I was tried to drop the class, but an international-stuedent adviser said that I could not drop the class because I am a full-time student.
(I must take at least 12 credits in a semester.)

And I was totally losted in the class and got a F.

However, in the second semester, I had prepared the class which I failed and got a A.

Now I’m waiting for the third semester.

I don’t know this one could be a GOOD explanation. :frowning: If you would give me any mention about the explanation, I appreciate it. :)

Thank you for reading, guys.
