How Does Dartmouth Look at Grades?

In middle school I took an accelerated program where I took high school Spanish and Math starting in 7th Grade. I did really poorly- a couple C’s and all the rest B’s.These are still on my official transcript and bring me down to a 3.75 unweighted and a 4.49 weighted.
Considering only High School grades, I have a 3.89 UW and a 4.72 Weighted.
I wrote Dartmouth a letter explaining this and it was signed by my counselor to verify the numbers.

How will Dartmouth look at this?
Will they hold it against me?

I don’t know about Dartmouth, but the vast majority of colleges do not consider middle school grades at all. They look only at grades from grades 9 - 12.

How is it that middle school grades are showing on your high school transcript? This seems very irregular to me.

IF Op attends school in NYS, it is not unusual at all to take accelerated courses in math, science (usually earth science) and math in middle school and receive high school credit. THe students usually takes the regents exam or spanish proficiency exam in 8th grade and high school credit is given for middle school.
