I have various supplementals written by the professor I did research under at my local uni, and one from Ms. Massachusetts, one of my covolunteers at the zoo.

Schools: Chance me for Brown, Georgia Tech, MIT, UMich, Northeastern, UCLA, UCSD, WashU, Boston University, Harvard, Duke

Will be able to pay in full for any of these schools, so I would like if this thread could take a step back from budget.

UC”s are test blind until 2025 so your competitive SAT will not be a factor in your application review.

What are your 3 UC GPA’s? Unweighted, Capped Weighted and Fully weighted? Also note that only AP/IB courses taken 10-11th grades for OOS applicants will be given the extra honors points in the calculation.

https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

Overall you appear competitive for the UC’s on your list so best of luck.

Unweighted GPA: 4.00
Weighted GPA: 4.21
Weighted and Capped GPA: 4.21

You are going to be competitive at all of the UCs but, OOS tuition at UCs is really high and there’s very limited aid for OOS applicants. Can your family afford $60K+/yr?

Given your stats, if you really want to attend college in CA, I’d look at privates like LMU, USD, Chapman and perhaps Santa Clara. They are all really likely to offer merit aid that will make them muck more compelling that their standard rates. You get a private school experience for a public school price.

For Harvard, Brown and Duke, your stats and scores are within range. But their admit rates are so low, its difficult to say. I would say your chances are probably similar to the overall admit rate (5-10%) for each.

Your ability to pay in full would help for WashU, Boston and the UC schools. Are you applying to UMich Ross?
