How does my senior schedule look?

Well, at my school, usually a couple of APs and Honors is suicide, and lots of schools know that (top california public).

I have the block schedule (4 for half the year, 4 the next)

Here goes
AP Stat
AP lang
AP gov
Honors Japanese 4

Business concepts
Honors Chem
AP Japanese (i have off period first period)

I my schedule is going to be pretty tough first semester, but not suicide. Mostly because they are some of the easier APs at my school. I think the APs at my school probably go (from hardest to easiest tiers)

AP Psych

AP Physics, AP Chem, AP Calc, AP languages (spanish, french, japanese)

AP USH

AP Euro, AP lit

AP stat

AP lang,AP gov, AP art history.

Japanese wont be hard at all though for me because i have a private tutor, and by the time i actually start the class, my language skills should be well above AP level, closer to college level 2 japanese.

hey!i’m taking AP japanese next year as well!

ganbatte!

doumo. Watashi no gakkou wa nihongo no kurasu ga yasashi desu.

I think it looks pretty nice! Good luck with it! I barely know any Japanese. haha. I take spanish. Ganbatte.

… ap psych is the hardest at your school? oh my.

I’m wondering why you’re not taking Calc. Often, that looks better than stats on a transcript, I think. Have you already taken it?

AP Japaneses, then Honors Japanese 4? seems kinda pointless

I think they’re taking Japanese 4 first and I think it’s safe to assume that AP Japanese is the equivalent of Japanese 5. It’s the logical succession of classes…

Looks much harder than mine. I’m taking:

0 period-Vocal Ensemble
1 Period-Teacher’s Aide
2 Period-Philosophy/Ethics
3 Period-Bible as Literature
4 Period-Concert Choir
5 Period-Teacher’s Aide
wooo.

doumo. Watashi no gakkou wa nihongo no kurasu ga yasashi desu.

really?mine is a hell hole.

watashi no nihongo no kurasu ni mainichi kanji kuizu o shimasu. :(

You guys are so lucky to take Japanese in high school. I’m taking it for the first time in college (I’m so excited!). The only languages my high school had was Spanish, French, and now Arabic so I took Spanish. I love Spanish, but if I had the chance, I would’ve taken Japanese in high school.

Mine offers Spanish, German, Italian, French…I think that’s it. But I could be wrong.

“I think they’re taking Japanese 4 first and I think it’s safe to assume that AP Japanese is the equivalent of Japanese 5. It’s the logical succession of classes…”
That is correct. I take honors 4 first, then AP, and for some reason it is called Ap japanese 4, even though you must take honors 4 to take it.

“watashi no nihongo no kurasu ni mainichi kanji kuizu o shimasu.”
yeah, basically it is my first year taking japanese. I took it this summer at University of Chicago for 3 weeks (japanese 101) and got a tutor right after, so basically, once school starts ill be slightly better than a graduated honors 4 class at my school (ive seen the work they do).
My brother took 1-4 at my school (he just graduated this year though) and said it was easy, and i believe him since ive seen their work, but supposedly it is hard for almost everyone at my school, even though my brother thinks that most the kids in his class are stupid.

But yeah, i mean i am almost light years ahead of the class because of me getting a private tutor. I know how to write at least 200 kanji and ive only been taking it since june 16 (june 16-july 7 at chicago…about 12+hrs of work a day, and then about 1-2 times a week with a tutor).

If you would like to do more with japanese, ide defiitely reccomend a tutor if you can. kinda pricy though. Like 50 an hr about. But ive been learning so much recently.

i know 515 individual kanjis and like thousands of combinations:)

my Japanese class moves quickly.

i think at my school u can easily get by with furigana. My brother got As in 1-4, and he only knew like 20. But yeah, i study a ton on my own. ide say ive learned 100 or so in the last week, just self studying. Ive been on vacation, so i havent met with my tutor for a week and a half.
