Math 140 Calculus(even thought I will more likely than not be getting 4/5 on AB Calc exam).

I feel like this is too many classes. If it changes anything, I will most likely be entering as a sophomore (due to having more than 34 credits). I would be somewhat willing to cut out accounting (though I will have to take it later on).

Also, about Calculus 1, should it be challenging for someone who recieved either a 4 or 5 on the AB exam?

In total, the aforementioned schedule is 21 credits.

An help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

you’re allowed a max of 16 credits.

You can check your AP scores on your unofficial transcript on my.umd.edu under the academics and testudo tab. I would assume Calc 1 is easy but Calc 2 is said to be harder than Calc 3, so if you get a 4 or 5 on Calc BC your best bet is to go right to Calc 3.

Thanks for the response. For the life of me I can’t remember why, but I opted not to send my AP scores to UMD…(probably because I didn’t send fresh, soph, junior scores and figured it would be better to send them all together).

BTW, I took AB Calculus, not BC, and got a B+. Would you still recommend taking Calc 3?

Well if you took AB you won’t be able to place out of Calc 2, since it only gives you credit for Calc 1. So you’ll have to start with Calc 2.
