If I get all As after sophomore fall, my GPA will be 3.81 something.

Current major: Sociology-Anthropology
Applying to Rice (policy studies+gender studies), Northwestern (Human Development and Psychological Services at SESP + gender studies), Emory (Interdisciplinary studies in culture & society: gender studies, sociology, anthropology) for spring.

My freshman schedule might look easy, but it’s not. For example, the class average for ANTH 103 was a C-. There were fewer than 10 As in SOCL 101 (a class of 200 people). PHIL182 and PLSC 100 were taught by a Princeton PhD and a Harvard JD, respectively-- both harsh graders. ANTH101 was taught by the department head, also a harsh grader. Also, they’re 100-level classes because I came in with no credits (didn’t take AP exams in HS).

Btw, freshman fall and spring had 15 credits each, summer will have 8, and sophomore fall will have 18. Basically, every course is worth 3 credits.

So, are you thinking it’s too easy?

I think you are fine. Most kids at semester schools take 4 classes on average and most kids at qtr schools take 3 classes. overloading and challenging yourself is a good thing, but don’t make it at the expense of your grades. your schedule looks fine and I got into some awesome schools with a 3.7 and an average course load (pre-reqs and GEs)

looks good. pull a 4.0 for your fall semester and you’re set.
