<p>Presumably what’s often advised is for the student to ask the teacher to make the rec non specific, and simply detail the students accomplishments, but would selective places like yale really go for that? I would think that, like MIT, they would recommend teachers specifically indicate what qualities would make student x better for that school.</p>
<p>That being said, obviously one can’t make their teachers do ten different recommendation letters, so what’s the happy medium here?</p>
