<p>They have no preference for either IB or AP.</p>
<p>I attended a high school with an IB program, but only took AP courses. I was admitted to penn via regular decision.</p>
<p>I did the IB diploma program at a school that offers IB and AP and was accepted regular decision. My IB program has also sent 3 others I know of to Penn in the past few years. In general, I don’t think they have a preference for either. It’s really dependent on which program is the most challenging at your particular school. </p>
<p>As to the question about scores, it really shouldn’t matter since you don’t get your scores until long after you are accepted.</p>
<p>My son’s classmate was Valedictorian and has the IB diploma- she will be starting at Penn this fall.</p>
