If you are an international student (Kuwait) and you are contacted by an alumnus about 9 days before the Early Action decision date… is it a good sign?
They must have already decided right? So is this interview very important?

Thanks fellow CCcrs :)

i dont think they’re done with all the decisions yet.

moreover, the interview plays a very little role, if at all, in the adimissions process. It is more of an opportunity to meet an alum and exchange thoughts.

i dont know if it is a good sign- your interviewer probably overslept and woke up to realize there is still a week for the decisions!

if they decided to interview you then thats a good sign

Whether or not you’re interviewed just means whether or not there are enough alumni in your area to interview everybody. Princeton sends applicants’ contact info to the local alumni club, and then the alumni club takes everything from there. They don’t know anything about your application other than that you’re applying and that they should do their best to get your letter in by Dec. 5 or something like that.
