How Does Rice View Me

I am an Indian currently living in the United Arab Emirates.

I wanted to know whether Rice will view me as an Indian or UAE applicant while reviewing my application. This is because Cornell views me as a UAE applicant but USC views me as an Indian applicant.

Just a little curious and a little bored :D.

im not really sure what you mean by the wording of your question but regardless you will be viewed as an international applicant whose race is Asian

Nevermind, I had started this thread out of sheer boredom at 2:00am.

Thanks for the reply though :).

Essentially, (I think) sudu knows that he’s going to be evaluated as an international; the question he’s asking is whether he’ll be evaluated as a part of the Indian pool or the UAE pool (if such divisions even exist).

^^ Framed in a more sensible and understanding manner.

i doubt such a distinction exists when they evaluate apps but i would say sudu would be judged as a UAE national
i dont think they will even find out anything else about your race since you will only mark “Asian” on your apps

Well there is a section for nationality on the application, so you’d have written Indian there. It’s all academic anyway, we’ll find out our decisions soon enough.
