<p>Does Rutgers send acceptances by email, snail mail, or both? The web site where you check your application status says they notify by mail, but I thought some folks on here had mentioned getting emails.</p>

<p>I asked this question a lot, and they say the first notification is by email, and the snail mail comes a few days later.</p>
<p>if you applied online, it shows up pretty much as soon as they recieve sat’s/transcripts, then the next day they send email, then i got the snailmail the same day…</p>

<p>My son got his initial notification via e-mail-on a Sunday morning ! It was followed by a packet he received in the mail a week to 10 days later.</p>
<p>I sent it in a couple of weeks ago. End of October? I thought I wouldn’t get it yet, because I recently sent in my SAT scores (I did not “rush” them). My friend from school sent her application in before me, and she was not notified yet.</p>
