How does stanford recalcuate GPA?

How does stanford recalcuate GPA?

For example, what is the 4.0 range? 90-100? 95-100?
3.0 range?

What courses are thrown out?

Thanks!

Any kind of A (+/-) on your transcript they count it as 4.0. same for all the other grades: B=3.0, etc. They only count the 5 academic areas – science, math, foreign language, social studies and english, and throw out your freshman grades.

Anyone know the score ranges for assigning 4.0s and 3.0s? There are often disparities between school grading scales, so how does Stanford adjust to them?

What about courses such as AP Environmental Science and AP Computer Science. Stanford considers those science and match classes instead of electives right?

I would think just science classes not math.

and yes they arent “electives” though your school might classify them as that

How many B’s would be crossing the line of “too much”?

my school doesnt give out letter grades
a 90-100 is considered an A
80- 89 is a B
and so on
so how would stanford do that?
