I’m not trying to brag or win sympathy points, but my school’s classes are objectively harder than those of neighboring schools, and academically my school was ranked top 10 in the nation a couple of years ago. To put things in further perspective, I’ve had multiple teachers confirm that students from with A’s in honors classes transfer to my school and struggle to get a B- in the “same” class.

My situation aside, I’m just wondering how this factors into apps in general. Are grades “scaled” accordingly? For example, I’ve heard about how hard it is to get A’s at Exeter – is a B at Exeter considered inferior to an A at a mediocre high school?
