How does the ETS Grade SAT Writing Multiple Choice?

That makes for 49 questions.
However, the Multiple Choice is based on a 80 point scale?
How does the ETS do that?</p>

<p>The ETS scales your score the same way the College Board scales your score from 200-800. It gives you an idea of what you will get for Writing if they didn’t count your essay.</p>

<p>Therefore, if your writing MC subscore was 70, then you would have gotten ~700 without the essay.</p>
