How does this idea sound?

On Friday, after the Stanford decision comes out I plan on opening up tabs for each of the schools I’m applying to and logging in, but before seeing the decisions going over to a blank tab and repeating. After finishing logging in to each of the accounts, I will quickly [look for key words “Congratulations”, “I regret to inform…” or whatever the heck it is for a possible waitlist] look at the decisions for each of my schools, spending less than 3 seconds for each and then quickly going to the next tab.

Good idea?

Only if you are convinced that decisions are going to be posted at exactly the same time (when schools say 5 PM, one might have it up at 4:45 and another one at 5:10) and that you can handle the stress (like not looking at a decision that’s right in front of you for half an hour because one of the schools hasn’t posted its decision yet, not pausing to cheer about an acceptance, or looking at 6 rejections in a row)

Btw, you could turn that into a game. Have the family and/or a few friends around you and watch *you/i while you are quickly scamming the decisions and then guess at how many schools you were accepted. You could even make a bet out of it (e.g. if they are off by more than one school they have to invite you out to dinner).

lol although that would be funny, I don’t think I’d want my family to guess if I was crushed or elated at a school’s decision for me :)
