how does writing affect composite

<p>I received a 35 C (36W, 35M, 36R, 31 S) but a 10 on the essay, making my writing/english score 34.</p>

<p>I know the ACT C is still a 35, but will top collleges view it as a 34? I’m curious because I saw a post where they recalculated their coposite scores.</p>
