How does your AP Macroecon teacher teach?

I’m wondering because mine is pretty much terrible. She usually just reads a powerpoint that she gets from the book’s public website. Basically, this forces me to self study the class which sucks.

@ my school, our teacher shows a 100 slide powerpoint and reads off a script in a monotone voice! you cant even study in class…his voice gets annoying in a while

My teacher just sits in front of the class and lectures.

Occasionally, he’ll put a graph on the board. Other than that we are just furiously writing down what he says.

@ eg2333: That’s exactly what my teacher does! He’s too lazy to teach the class, so he just reads off a crappy powerpoint that essentially states the title of each section (nothing more). Luckily he puts the homework assignment on the board before class, so I just do my homework.

Rose State College has great lectures on iTunes U for their Macroeconomics and Microeconomics classes. It’s a great supplement with the Mankiw book.

Monday: A group of students presents a chapter to the class. Usually a quiz and game is involved
Tuesday: Teacher reviews any things the students have about that chapter and we do problems from the book
Wednesday: Usually an in class partner practice test, followed by more review and book work
Thursday: Have a discussion related to economics, try to connect it to class topics/ project work and discussions
Friday: Test on week’s chapter, then grade and review test questions

We repeat this every week. My school’s on a block schedule so we only do this for a hald year with 90 minute classes.
