SC has one of the weirdest grading systems ever:

A : 93-100
B: 85 - 93
IDK from there down. >_>.

The weighing system is even stranger:

‘CP’ or ‘College Prep’ classes. These are the lowest tier, other than tech classes. An ‘A’ here will net you a 4.0.

Honors classes. An ‘A’ will net you a 5.37 for your GPA.
AP/IB/Dual Credit classes get you a 5.87.

The top ten at my school graduate with GPAs between 4.95 and 5.35 lol.

what grade does a 93 get you?

86-100: A
73-86: B
c+
c
c-
0-49: F

̒̓̔̕̚ ̍̎̏̐̑̒̓̔̕̚̕̚ ̡̢̛̗̘̙̜̝̞̟̠̊̋̌̍̎̏̚ ̡̢̡

What’s the grade if someone gets an 86?

We just use your average of all your classes to get the GPA. 92 is the 4.0 cut-off I believe.

Oh 86 is A
85 is B

A : 93-100
B: 85 - 92

My bad. Typo.

100-90=a
89-80=b
79-70=c
69-60=d
59-50=f

We don’t have weighted classes. Instead the scale for Honors classes is 2 lower than for regular classes (I.E. You can get an A with 2 fewer points than in a regular class)

This system is really stupid, it makes it so every year we have about 8 valedictorians since you can essentially take all the easiest classes, get a 4.0 and be on the same level as someone with all the most difficult with a 4.0 and those 2 extra points don’t really help at all most of the time.

in grams obviously.

grams measure mass, not weight.

What if you get 89.45?

That would be an A i believe.
Because the computer ups 89.45 as 89.5…

For my school, which weights grades the same way as blackhype’s, if a student gets an 89.45, the grade report will show 89.5 (B).

Dunno if it’s the same for his/her school

maybe people here should use proper interval notation for clarity. Thanks.

90-100 A
80-89 B
70-79 C
60-69 D
0-59 F
…in other words, lbs. jp.

That do it for you, TCBH? lol
