<p>Something else to keep in mind is that you’ll need the official transcript sent by your daughter’s high school. My son’s high school wanted to mail all the official transcripts for all their students at the same time–in early October. That meant that even though S filled out the Pitt application in August, his file wasn’t complete and ready for review until October. So you may want to talk to your high school counselor and find out when they will send the transcript. </p>
<p>Also, the essay and letter(s) of recommendation were optional this year, but S chose to submit both. If at all possible, my advice would be for her to do the same. Nursing is a competitive program, and essays and letters of recommendation really are her chance to shine in a way that no standard form or test scores will make possible.</p>
