<p>As mentioned in the title^, I was wondering if I could take an AP/SAT test for a subject I’m interested in without taking the class, and score well if I self study.

<p>You can. It won’t be a piece of cake but if you discipline yourself and absorb the material you’ll do great. Lots of students take AP and SAT II exams without actually being in the class. It is perfectly acceptable. Just make sure you prepare well in advance. I’d say study over the course of a few months but don’t burn yourself out. Just pace yourself and you should be fine.</p>
