How easy to take double major at UCD,UCSD and UCB such as Environmental Sc and Legal Policy

How easy to take double major at UCD, UCSD and UCB such as Environmental Sc and Legal Policy? Thanks in advance.

For UCB, double majoring is not usually a problem, although it helps greatly if you come in with AP or DE credits which fulfill some of the breadth requirements, as that will free up your time. If environmental science is cnr and legal policy is l&s, then remember that you will have fulfill the breadth requirements of BOTH colleges in order to complete both majors. (There is a lot of overlap between the breadth requirements, but l&s has more of them.)

For UC Davis:

You’ll need the consent of the departments/committees in charge of both majors, as well as the approval of the dean of your current college and the endorsement of the dean of the additional college.

Each college (L&S and CAES) has specific policies regarding multiple majors, and if your majors span multiple colleges, you are subject to all requirements of each college
For example, if one college requires 2 upper division courses in each major, and the other college doesn’t, you’ll still need to complete that requirement for both majors.

It’s very important to contact the appropriate colleges along with academic advisors and read the UC Davis General Catalog section on multiple majors for detailed information about each college’s policies.

Keep in mind that the quarter system is fast paced.

I want to add that UC Davis has the Environmental Science and Management major with several different tracks such as Natural Resource Management which has a more of an emphasis on Public policy or the there is the Environmental Policy and Analysis major with several different tracks including Environmental Policy & Politics and Integrative Policy. So between all these options you might not need a double major but possible a Major and a minor in Political Science/Public Policy.
