How exactly do you take out a loan for college?

<p>My parents unfortunately do not speak english and can’t provide much help to me so I’m stuck asking strangers on the internet for. Hopefully my question doesn’t seem so obvious because I really don’t know where to even begin. Would I have to open a bank account first? Right now I don’t have a credit history so would I need that before I an even apply for a loan? </p>

<p>So far I’ve been able to figure everything else that has to do with college but when it comes to the financial aspect I’m completely clueless. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!</p>
