How far would you go (and how much $) to avoid meningitis?

From CA to London? And $4000?

I would do it if that were the only option. I’m not sure why they’re going all the way to London, though. It is going to be available in Canada in the first week of January.

Having had meningitis (viral, but horrid enough) and an Aunt who had bacterial, if that was the only option I would.

Glad to hear it will be available in Canada. We are only a few hours from Montreal. Might look into it.

My dad has had meningitis twice. I do not know which type (once was before I was born, once was when I was an infant).

This wouldn’t be a financial option for my family, but I think they’d do whatever they could… and if a 4k trip to London was what it took, I think our car would be up for sale.

My parents were both hospitalized as children during a meningitis epidemic.
Viral is much less virulent and much more contagious.
I am not concerned about the risk enough to go to Cuba to get the vaccine, but I do wonder why I would have to.

Yes, the article is six years old, but relevant.

Not enough money to be made, cant be the answer, can it?
