How fattening is the food?

i cant seem to get fat either. i eat a lot of fast food at home. multiple times a week. dont exercise. dont gain weight.

I don’t know what liquor you’re drinking (151??), but most standard 40% is about 80-100 calories a shot, compared to around 150 calories for a beer.

it isn’t scientically proven but i just happen to think liquor has a cleansing effect (gets rid of toxins and cleans out your system), while wine and beer sticks to you… and of course a chaser makes it far fattier. So don’t use a chaser :)

All the dorm walking is overrated. Walking really doesn’t burn that many calories, maybe a few hundred max.

but you can drink a lot more vodka than beer because of the volume…

and i remember reading that alcohol metabolizes to some nasty aldehyde for a while :(

and remember im not going to binge drink again :)

dorm walking is like maybe 120 calories seriously its nothing. an hour on the treadmill is only like 400-500, and it’s only like 20 minutes walk and at a slower pace.

I haven’t been gaining weight either. I’ve been eating pasta on a semi-daily basis. I alternate fruit juice with soy milk. I make regular rounds to B-Caf in the middle of the night and make the occasional Crossroads trip. I do not exercise. I have lost 2 lbs since the start of the quarter.

You know, even if you can keep the pounds off without heading to the gym you should still try to start a regular workout routine. There are still plenty of benefits besides staying thin.

hooray for good genes!

suckers :D

As we learn in phy sci 5, its b etter to be fat and worked out than thin and sedentary :)

i’m not sure what sedentary means, but me thinks namaste is making fun of us, fellow good-genes-bearers.

guys i just had a sprinkles cupcake and chipotle.

this is why i practically live at wooden.

well and other reasons. but still.

and bfired- poor you. again. :P

well next time just let me know and i can eat your sprinkles cupcake and chipotle for you so you dont have to work it off. :D

b*tch, please.

i hoard that stuff for myself.

wooden is a completely acceptable trade off for cupcakes. especially b/c it ups my chances for running into Boy. i have nooooooo problem with wooden.

I can’t wait to get to UCLA, I’m dying to get into wooden.

Right now I don’t have consistent access to a gym(after 2 years of workoing out every single day, I’m going crazy), so i’m going to pay 300 dollars this summer for a 3 month subscription to the local place. Wooden is going to be heaven on earth, free and always open? Unbeatable.

no, its not always open.

$15 per month, open until 12:45 M-Th.

Still beats 100 dollars a month, and the hours are better than my summer place.

How fattening is the food?

I weighed over 180 lbs while at UCLA.

When I moved back to Japan, I was around 165 or so.

There’s your answer.

@UCLAri O_______O;; Did you still exercise a lot or is that just from not being able to go to the gym all the time.

I didn’t exercise nearly enough. But that may have been a consequence of my work and academic schedule.

besides, the japanese eat sooooo much better than americans.
not like you were always around pizza, hamburgers, chipotle and cupcakes while you were living in japan ;)
