How good does 250 hours of volunteering at a thrift shop look at a job application

I’ve been volunteering at a thrift shop with special needs kids who work there. How good will this look on an application

obviously not good at all if you’re worrying a ton about its effectiveness on a college app

if its important to you, helps other people, you would do it without any regard to what colleges think, then that’s a good sign

No volunteer hours are required of any college. Nor will hours per se, give you an advantage. It’s a myth.

By all means, list them. But don’t expect anyone to note them besides a 0.3 second glance.

You put *job application *in the title of this thread. You really mean job application?

If you do, then that’s good. Volunteer experience counts as work experience. Work experience is helpful when you’re applying for your next job.

If you meant college application, then what the others have said about the importance of volunteer hours for college applications is true.

Depends on how many dollars you have in your pocket.
