How good in Penn for computer science?

I realize that Penn isn’t too highly ranked in computer science (for whatever that’s worth, I don’t know), but I wanted to hear some opinions as to whether the program is good and how good the job opportunities are. Do lots of top companies recruit for comp sci (and not just finance)?

USNews does not rank undergrad compsci but it does rank grad compsci and Penn is at 17th along with Columbia and Harvard for 2010. I don’t know anything about recruiters that may or may not come to Penn but I think you should not have much of a problem getting a job after completing this degree. Unless other choices are CMU, MIT or Stanford and maybe a few others, I don’t think it makes a huge difference.

I have Penn CS friends who got jobs at Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Facebook. Clearly can’t be THAT bad :)

Funny how Penn made ENIAC and then kind of dropped the ball on that lead…
