How good is 2260?

I scored 2260 in the May 2010 SAT. I know this is a good score, but how good is it exactly? Will it guaruntee me admission into schools such as USC, UCLA and UC Berkeley?

I believe so. I think for them 2250 is the threshold.
as long as u score above that, ur sat will in the least drag u down.
however if u can score a very impressive score in future ( above 2350), then u may consider
to have another try.

LOL!!!

Dude, just a few people in my school break 2200, but USC is the college with the most number of our graduates.

College Confidential is wayyyyyy too crazy about scores. Try looking at the average ADMITTED (not applied, ADMITTED) SAT scores. It’s important to remember that a lot of people with much lower scores apply, and that the minority scores don’t bring it down THAT much (there are plenty of 2100+ Afr-Americans on CC).

Seriously…lol

I don’t believe that any of the schools “guarantee” admission for any particular score.

It is a very good score that certainly puts you in the running as a candidate for the schools you mention. But they will also look at your course selections, grades, activities, essay, etc.
