I just saw someone say it increased their score from mid-600s to 800. I only tried it once, but when I did, it made the reading more confusing for me since I was losing flow. How does it actually help.

Hmm, today I tried it again on some passages that weren’t CB, but it seemed to help. I guess I just need practice with it. The only problem I had with it is that it made general passage questions and specific questions that didn’t have line references harder.

It depends. If you have a lot time left before the SAT, try practicing with it for a while to see if your score improves. If not, go back to what you were doing. I stuck with this method for a few months before determining that it’s not for me. I just read the passage and answer the questions which works fine. Remember to practice, practice, practice!
