How good is Penn State Econ?

I know Penn State is a top 50 University as per college news and center for world university rankings despite an over 50% acceptance rate. But, how good is its economics department? Is it top 50? What is its ranking? Is it respected by companies?
I’m an international applicant from India applying as freshman. We dont follow GPA system here, but my SAT score is 1970 with another scheduled later this year. I have a fair amount of extra curricular activities on my list. Replies would be welcome.

Penn State economics has a lower than typical math emphasis, so it is not as good as many others for pre-PhD preparation. Not sure how it is seen for employment at the bachelor’s degree level. But employment in the US for you will be more difficult to find due to work visa needs.

I only plan for a BSc or BA in Economics, not PhD.

Then it’s fine.

Yes , I would also like to know about the economics program
