Has anyone got rejected from Cornell CALS through transfer option? I am a TO candidate of Class of 2019 majoring in InfoSci. I can’t find a Computer Programming equivalent course in SBU through the Cornell Database. I compared the course descriptions and found that Cornell offered courses about object-oriented programming language(ie. Python). But in SBU I can only take C/C++. Will I get rejected because of this? Thanks!!
i feel you. im trying to find a python based class for my university too (im also applying transfer to info science gulp) and I cant find anything
you got transfer option too?
oh you got guaranteed transfered! Dang lucky. Sorry idk then
I believe Cornell is fairly strict with their requirements for GT. If you can’t find the exact required course, you need to get Cornell’s approval for taking a different class. They are also very stringent with their grade requirements.
@oldfort Thanks. But this year they said they are not offering any course evaluation for GT. That’s why I feel frustrated. :-S
@llegeAcceptanc It’s all right man. This transfer option is not that “guaranteed” either.
Hydevil: Could you elaborate on your comment, “they are not offering any course evaluation”?
@Hydevil I’m going to sbu and transferring too lol small world
@1234 it’s just that they may not tell me which course is equivalent to the course listed in the database.
@Zenithar143 Cool! What major are u?
@Hydevil I’m ILR. Are you honors college or university scholars for sbu?
No, I did apply but they rejected me:(
Gotcha. Btw how can you find equivalent courses in the Cornell database?
I search it by college. For SBU, I can’t find any equivalent course for computer programming. So, I just gonna take object-oriented programming course. You may not find some equivalent course for certain requirements, then you have to compare the course description.
