<p>Is HSS really just a trash dump? They’re saying that the average highschool GPA of HSS student is only 3.4? Thats a B- or B!</p>

lets not be so arrogant. Schools with average SAT scores of 1350 comprise some of the best schools in the nation. Remember to consider the factor of low outliers on average scores. An unweighted B average…also, not nearly as bad as your acting. How dyou think that makes people feel with stats below what your calling “trash”</p>

<p>i apologize. It was arrogant and uncalled for. Infact, my scores are not that much higher. I was just simply surprised since cmu has such a high reputation. I was expecting the admission standards to be higher than it is.</p>

<p>around here in CMU HSS is rumored to be a very easy school. but then again this is in the perspective of CMU. I do notice that a lot of HSS people are not as stressed as say SCS or CIT. I know a guy that wants to get out of HSS b/c its too easy. They also have the highest acceptance of all the schools. I hear its around 40-50% which is insanly high…In my opinion they are no where near as selective as the other schools</p>
