How hard is it to get a 5 on Ap Lit

How hard is it if I really try during the school year? Is this something that you can improve immensely from any starting point, or something that people just have?

Honestly, it’s all skill based. If you know how to write a well-organized and analytical essay using relevant and exemplary literary examples from literary works of merit, you’ll do well. You also must be able to comprehend and analyze all types of literature (poetry gaaahhh).

You can improve immensely, after all it is just the English language, but it would be easier if you were literary-minded. Also, you didn’t specify if you were going to self-study or take the class. I would advise to take the class. A good teacher would certainly help you improve.

But statistically speaking, in 2008, 6.5% of the students who took the exam got a 5 out of approximately 320, 000 students…so…you decide lol.

I think its just something people just have. And also Blizzard in the
hail OHKO’s Rayquaza like 3 times over.

Yeah AP Lit is difficult and so is the SAT II Lit, for that test you have to analyze centuries-old poems. And has harsh curve

unless rayquaza has double team stacked

any good rayquaza would

^Blizzard is 100% accurate in the hail. I don’t think double team would help

OP: While there is a certain skill involved, if you do work hard throughout the year, I see no reason why you shouldn’t be able to get a 5.

Raquaza can be set up with focus sash that prevents OHKO’s on it

^Um, he’ll still be hit by the hail after his turn is over, so he’ll die either way, lol :)

…To keep this on topic: I took AP Lit this year, and even though I know I don’t possess any extraordinary skill for interpreting or analyzing lit, I still got a 5.

Some people just cannot do lit, if you’re one of those, it’s hard.

There are some people for whom, if they work hard, it is possible to get a 5 on Lit. Many others cannot no matter how hard they try… :P

It’s one of the more difficult exams to score a 5, but if you’re willing to read a lot and practice your lit analytical skills, then it’s worth a shot.

Lit is one of those things that requires really strong reading and writing skills, something that does not come instantaneously. If a person worked hard for at least a year, reading analytically, it is possible to get a 5. However, it’s very difficult and you’ll need a pretty rigorous class.

Not too hard I think. I easily landed a 4 (and a 5 in AP Eng Lang) when I did little to nothing, and learned little to nothing, in the course. This is * all individual * however. English is not only my favorite subject, it is the one that I’m most naturally gifted at by a large margin. I score 99th%-ile on most standardized exams (the SAT was an exception to this but I brought up my performance with the ACT) as pertaining to English/writing without practice or hesitance.
In short - completely doable with some work/introspection on one’s critical thinking if English is not your best subject.
However, it’s very easy for those who excel in English (one of my friends scored a 5 and thought the test was fun).
