I know that I can’t do it during my freshman year because I didn’t receive an invitation along with my acceptance letter, but how hard would it be to get into the program as a sophomore/junior/senior?

From the site:

So, three questions:

What’s the minimum GPA requirement? Like a 3.0?

If I wanted to apply for a Tradition fellowship during my sophomore year, would I have to accumulate those hours during my freshman year or my sophomore year?

Do I just have to meet the baseline requirements to be accepted, or is there a pretty comprehensive review process (i.e. based on financial need, etc.)? Is it super-competitive? This was basically my original question.

if you are applying as a new member, it is better to go above and beyond the minimum requirements. after that, just meeting the minimum will suffice.
