How hard is it to get in-state residency as a transfer?

I’m considering transferring into the Landscape Architecture program, but only if I can gain instate residency within a year. Any thoughts / experiences? thanks.

With very few exceptions, unless you are 24 years old, married, have a dependent child, or are financially independent, your PARENTS will have to move to Florida too.

The rules are clearly posted on the UF website:
[University of Florida - Admissions](http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/residency/qualifying.html)
