How Hard is it To Get into Davidson?

On a scale of 1-10, how difficult is it to get into Davidson College? Why?/What are some important factors in the application for Davidson?

I have a 31 ACT, ~3.8 UW GPA (4.3 W), good extracurriculars (i.e., Girl Scouts, Model UN, Marching Band, school newspaper, etc), and took/am taking academic courses over the past two summers. How hard would it be for someone like me to get into the College?

Apply ED!! The acceptance rate is like 58%, and you seem like a good candidate, so you should get in. When I visited, they also said it’s really important to show interest via visits/info sessions. Davidson is awesome. I visited over spring break and it’s like nowhere else I’ve toured among the 20 or so I have. I’d definitely suggest a visit. As far as important factors, they really singled out curriculum rigor in the info session I went to. They also require a peer recommendation, which is basically a teacher rec from a fellow student, which is kind of cool. I would totally apply ED there, but tuition is a little pricey, and I want to think things over financially.

Yeah, the peer recommendation thing got me excited ^.^ Right now, after I visit them, it’s just deciding where to apply early decision…(Carleton v. Emory v. Davidson)

Any other input? :D

bump…

On a scale from 60-99, Princeton Review rates Davidson’s selectivity at 98. Their middle 50% ACT range is 29-33. They have Emory’s selectivity at 98 and Carleton’s at 96. I think you’d be a good bet for Carleton, and right in the middle on the other two.
