<p>How hard is it to register for classes at San Jose State University? Is it as hard as any other CSU schools? Is there any method for registering class early at San Jose State?</p>

<p>Registering for classes at SJSU is a race. You will be assigned a time at which you can register, which supposedly depends on seniority. Most students will skip class, work, whatever and be ready with their course list to register the minute their time slot opens. Life gets easier as you approach your sr year. Last semester you get priority and can register several weeks before everyone else. However, at this time you can pretty much only register for classes you need. You can also get priority if you volunteer to take notes for someone in need. Not sure how to sign up to do that. SJSU currently is severely impacted due to budget cuts, and the fight for classes is tough. Adds are very limited in most classes, 1 or 2 per class and typically by random drawing. You typically can get what you need, but you have to be flexible, and best off if you figure out your required courses for several years in advance so you can adapt your choices with availability. I have not tried other CSU’s but I have attended other schools. This one is pretty tough, just be ready. Everyone lives through it, no one enjoys it, but for a week or so it makes for great complaining talk with friends.</p>
