how hard is it to transfer to UW bothell?

Hi im at University of Utah right now and I’m a freshman

I just finished my first semester and had some bad gpa (3.2)

But my hs records are good I think (around 3.7~3.85)

My SAT is around 2000
I know that they will take my hs records and SAT into account since I have less than 28 sem credits…

Done some ec’s, not much tho

So I was wondering how hard it is to transfer to UW bothell since my chances for seattle are slim. I have to go to seattle because my mom has schizophrenia and lives by herself.

Thank You!

I think UW Tacoma is the easiest to get into. Maybe you should apply there too?

Doesn’t have the major I want. How bout bothell?

UWB is very easy to get into. Don’t worry about it.

with my stats?

UW Bothell is very easy to get into…

However you are transferring from another 4 year institution with a pretty low GPA. I would personally try to get that GPA up and then try and transfer.

But it doesn’t hurt to go ahead and apply now, right?

^I don’t know if that’s possible since deadline for seattle and bothell are both before my 2nd semester ends (which hopefully will have great gpa)…

I called and asked UW seattle about them taking my 2nd semester grades into account and they said that they will only accept transcripts up til the application deadline.

I HAVE to get into either of them by this fall…

Well here’s another deal, you might not have to get into them by next fall if you just come to Seattle and earn an AAS-DTA degree at a local community college (such as Cascadia Community College). Cascadia shares UWB’s campus and they actually have a dual-enrollment program. So unless you NEED to live in the dorms on UWB’s campus it could be just as good, maybe better if cost is an issue, of an option.

I could try that… But my ultimate question was whether I have a chance at bothell or not

okolopttt: I don’t understand part of your last comment. Are you attempting to get into UW seattle AND bothell? You will have a much easier time with UW-Bothell, but either will be difficult with your current gpa

oh sorry I did not make myself clear enough. I am applying to both campuses, but I doubt I’d get iinto UW seattle. So I wanna know what my chances of GETTING INTO UW bothell are, not surviving as a student.

bumpppppppppppp

Apply to UWB and UW Seattle and start talking to Cascadia Community College www.cascadia.edu and then once there apply to the dual enrollment, Associates of Arts and Sciences - Direct Transfer Agreement (AAS-DTA) program.

Why are you bumping this? 2 people have already told you that UWB is super easy to get into. A 3.2 is honestly probably average or above average for their applicants.

[Core Subject Requirements - Before you Apply - Transfer - Admissions - UW Bothell](http://www.uwb.edu/admissions/transfer/guide/minadmreq)

I bumped it because people just said it’s easy to get into UW bothell, but nobody said a thing about admission with my gpa taken into account… I didn’t need anything else but an honest opinion on my chance of acceptance by the look upon my gpa… Well thank you. I hope there would be no more replies

Best of luck to you!!
