I was wondering how is it to double major at tepper(any major related to the topic) and drama (in my case film) ?

I’d imagine it would be pretty hard since CMU does not have a film major…?

BFA Drama majors will find it extremely difficult to double major in anything, from what I hear.

Last I heard drama majors were all but forbidden from double majoring-- not that you can’t, just that it’s very, very, very, very, very tough. Drama is a heavy workload by itself.

From the site: “Students in the School of Drama do have the ability to double major or to add a minor to their Drama degree. However, due to the rigorousness of the conservatory
curriculum, students are strongly advised to consider their personal resources before
committing to such a course of study.”

If you’re in Tepper but not in drama, it’s almost impossible to double major in drama from outside CFA, unfortunately. The program is exceedingly selective and very few students drop out so open spots are limited.

Minoring is much easier and more possible, although it’s still definitely not easy - you need to try out, be accepted, and then take a drama class and do very well before they’ll let you in. But once you’re in, you’re good.

Difficulty is all relative. Keep in mind, you’re going to have ample time to work in college, instead of having a day or two to freak out like in high school. As long as you do your work and goof off only when you have the free time to, you’ll be fine.
